About Us
The aim of New Shot Records is to bring you good music – say, excellent music ! – well recorded and mastered. And from artists that mean something to us.
The Label is a Friends & Family initiative launched by Renato Bottani and Marco Melzi, friends since the early eighties. Renato is in charge of Artists & Repertoire, PR and Sonics. His wife Cinzia makes the Artwork and Marco’s wife Isabel ensures graphics are suitable for printing. Then comes Marco: he does all the rest, through his Company Labyrinth Editions Ltd. Hence he makes sure a project gets wings, by being manufactured and distributed.
The main focus is on Singer-Songwriters/Roots/Blues and, most probably, our releases will be labelled “Americana” or… you name it, for what is worth.
